Guardrails and handrails are commonly used to provide a collective edge protection for safely Working at Height. They can work as either permanent or temporary edge protection systems, but their role in worker safety cannot be overstated.

The Working at Height Regulations (WAHR) 2005 & The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998 both state that such equipment should be inspected and maintained by a competent person at least every 12 months. This will ensure compliance and provide peace of mind to workers who rely on edge protection equipment such as this to carry out their work effectively.

Once the site visit is complete we will ensure all guardrail systems are tagged and dated clearly, and provide certificates as well as any reports and images to ensure compliance.
As fall protection systems are recommended to be tested once every 12 months, we also offer an inspection services package, where we keep a database of our clients and send out a reminder 2 months prior to its due date to arrange a suitable date and time.
